Banzai's flares on the 'shroom in slo-mo

I competed flares once in high school (and not well--thus the "once") but never really understood them. Now that I'm trying to coach them I actually understand what's going on!

Congratulations Niles West!!!

Boys defeated GBS for the first time in close to 20 years! (My history may be a little weak)

In any case, a 138 win over 132. It's a wonderful thing.

Lets keep up the good work, and finally hit that ever so longed for 140!

The boys season has begun, and we are looking strong.

Hopefully we will start getting a few videos up an running for everyone.

For now, congrats to our girl's team. Best season in almost 3 decades, and 2 state qualifiers. Not a bad run.

Lets keep up the good work everyone!!

Reviewing vimeo videos frame-by-frame

Banzai here. I find it immensely useful to be able to go back and forth frame-by-frame when analyzing tricks. But these instructions require a certain degree of tech-savvy. Not for the weak-hearted.

On a PC:

Download VirtualDubMod
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=65889&package_id=63653

(you might also need AviSynth 2.5.x)

On vimeo scroll to the bottom right of each vid and select "Download Quicktime version". You'll get an MP4 file.

Open VirtualDubMod.

File->Open Video File

Change the "Files of type" filter to "All types (*.*)"

Set "Use AviSynth template" to "DirectShowSource"

Select MP4 file.

If it doesn't open, your computer is missing an MP4 decoder. I'd recommend the CoreAVC codec. The basic version is $7. The pro version is something like $15. I bought the pro version.

Once it's open you'll be able to use the arrow keys to step frame-by-frame forward or backwards through each MP4 file (and any other AVI or MPG--if your computer can play it via Windows Media Player, you can step through it in VirtualDub. Unfortunately WMV and ASF is not supported).

VirtualDubMod will drop an AVS file in the same dir. If you want to view the file again, you can just drag the AVS into VirtualDubMod.
